Has anyone had an MRI while pregnant?

I am 5 weeks pregnant and am supposed to get an MRI due to having severe pain from TMJ. From what I am researching it is safe but seems like it is often recommended to do after the 1st trimester. I don't know if I can wait 7 weeks! I am waiting for my OBGYN to give me the okay or not. Thanks!
