Help I am desparate for a good book.?

I am stuck and need your help. I love books with ghost's and haunted houses and books with history. Ive read all the average books from s king to c barker but am now stuck. Please please can anyone advise me of a really good horror story book or a really good book theyve read. If I dont get a book soon I will go out of my mind!!
