Is goodness inherently rewarding?

Goodness can be rewarding within itself. If we are kind then first off we feel good about it ourselves afterward, and kindness can also be re-payed with kindness from others. Being a good person shouldn't be about others doing something for you in turn, it should be about knowing you did something right. So many people nowadays only do things for self serving purposes or out of shallowness. Which is why its better to try our best to do what we know is right.
