from what it sounds like he likes u i am pretty sure!! but.......i dont know what kind of guy he is. i has been in a similar situation where we stared at each other and it felt like anything could happen around me and i would not care. and he even told me he liked me and he was soo sweet to me when we were alone and stuff or when no one was paying attention but when his friends were around he was so mean to me and acted like the meanest guy on earth. he also smiled at me alot and text me and called me alot and he asked me out.....than i said yes. . . . than he played me for a week everyone knew it too but no one told me.....than the next year he asked me out again and i was still hurt by him. . . .he sweared that it was not a joke this time so i said yes trusting he was right we went out 3 weeks till he dumped me for this one chick and like a couple days after he went out with her but yet still flirted with me and yea so yea it just depends on the guy and now this guy is saying he likes me and we hang out alot too but i am verry careful cuz i dont want to get hurt no more!!! so yea you just have to decide what kind of guy he is or just tell him u like him and if he asks you out go for it even if it is a joke
