Fifteen year old Addison (Addy) Miller is at war with fate when her life falls into the hands of a mysterious woman, pretending to be an adoptive mother when she is actually Addy's aunt. Addy grew up in a troubled home of careless parents and countless cigarettes as an only child with no sense of direction. She ends up as a bulimic who cuts herself and admires body modification. One night, she is drowning out the depression by hiding in a closet and listening to music on her iPod. She suddenly hears commotion and witnesses her drunk parents encounter a huge argument, leaving her mother dead, her father in jail, and Addy in the hospital. Is this a dead end for Addy or could amnesia actually save her from suicide, as her aunt turns this tragedy into a new beginning?
