What could this mean, is he interested?

So the short version is this, there is this guy who works in a local store I frequent a lot. So I've noticed him like flirting with me and smiling when ever I come in, so I took a shot and discretely slipped him my number. Now at the time I thought he would call me in a few days, so he called me the same day I gave my number, he left a vm, and I called him back. So the next day Thursday, I went into said store and basically asked him out what was he doing Friday night, he said he wasn't sure he'd have to wait and see, so I told him to call me. Well he called didn't leave a vm this time but I called him back and left a msg on Thursday night to call me back asap. So Friday comes around and the guy finally calls me and says he's still at work, and that he'd want to meet up later, well I told him yeah but I had plans already, and to call me later he said fine, but he never called me and now I don't know what to do, I think he's interested, but don't know what to do next should I call him or confront him where he works or give it a few more days for him to call me?
