Left testicle pain...?

4 days ago, I randomly had pain in my left testicle throughout the day. Day by day, the pain has gone down a tremendous amount, but there is still a little numbness. I was concerned at first, thinking it could be testicular cancer, but I've looked over symptoms and I have none of them. No pain when I urine, nothing wrong with ejaculation. However, I have a cold where I cough to the point of vomiting a little bit. Could these play hand in hand and my testicular pain go away completely once I'm over my cold? Or are they separate conditions?
